I said “I do”… and then I let go.

A leadership lesson from my wedding. 💍

A friend convinced me to hire a “day-of” coordinator. At first, I resisted—I like to be in control (anyone else?).

But trusting her was the best decision.

Leadership is Trusting the Right People

She managed the timeline, vendors, and all the moving parts, so Rich and I could actually enjoy our BIG day. Fully present.

That’s exactly what great leadership looks like. It’s not controlling every detail—it’s trusting the right people and delegating wisely.

When you do, your team feels empowered, and you create space for creativity, ownership, and real results. Then you can focus on what only you can do: LEAD!

Skip delegation, and you risk micromanaging yourself into stress (hello, potential burnout!).

Here’s the secret of great leaders:
✅ Trust your team
✅ Step back when needed
✅ Focus on what only you can do

So here’s my challenge:
👉 Are you leading your team—or holding onto too many reins?
👉 Where in your work (or life) could you let go a little and trust someone else to step up?

Delegation gives you the same gift I had on my wedding day: presence, peace, and the space to focus on what matters most—leading! Everything flows and everyone thrives.
