Last week, I shared how hiring a wedding coordinator taught me the power of delegation — leaders don’t need to do it all themselves.

This week, I’m thinking about what I experienced on my honeymoon at Turtle Island in Fiji: a small, tight-knit community that worked like a single heartbeat.

Building on the Fijian culture of strong communities, the staff of local villagers— from gardeners to boat captains — had one shared mission:  “Create life-changing memories for every guest.”

Leadership

They knew their roles. They trusted one another. They worked seamlessly together to make magic happen — even serenading guests at sunset.

That’s what true teamwork feels like.

As leaders, we can create that same sense of belonging on our teams.

We set the tone.
We build trust.
We resolve conflict,
We make it safe to work together.

When teamwork and community become one, extraordinary results follow.

What’s one thing you can do this week to build a sense of community on your team?
